                 Regardless matter what one may think of Shahbaz Gill, he should not be tortured. Nobody ought to. It is against international law, human rights, and all accepted standards of decency and morality. However, it is not expressly forbidden in Pakistan.   Even if it were (and one hopes it soon will be), the sociopolitical environment of the nation affords little reason to believe that the widespread use of torture could be curbed.   Imran Khan claims that Gill has endured sexual assault in addition to physical and emotional abuse. As the possibility of Imran's detention grows, PTI supporters swarm to Bani Gala.

                 After Imran Khan was charged with terrorism, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members and supporters began to swarm to his hometown of Bani Gala, where he currently resides. To protest the potential arrest of the former premier, PTI leaders have urged party members and sympathizers to take to the streets. Former followers of the ruling party hoisted PTI flags and chanted Imran's name.   At Imran's mansion in Bani Gala, several PTI leaders were also in attendance. After arriving in Bani Gala on Monday, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi met with Imran at his home.   Senator Faisal Javed urged PTI supporters to visit Bani Gala while speaking to the media outside the venue. He added that families with young children and senior citizens have already been there since Sunday night.
