The Great Nation's Birthday 14th August, The Independence Day of PAKISTAN
Every year on August 14, Pakistan celebrates Independence Day, a national holiday honouring the day Pakistan became independent and a sovereign nation after the British Raj ended in 1947. Pakistan was created as a result of the Pakistan Movement, which was spearheaded by the All-India Muslim League under the direction of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and sought to divide the northwestern region of South Asia into separate Muslim states. The Indian Independence Act of 1947, which granted the Dominion of Pakistan (after the Islamic Republic of Pakistan), which includes West Pakistan (current Pakistan) and East Pakistan, independence from the British Indian Empire, was the catalyst for the event (now Bangladesh).
The day of independence fell on Ramadan
27, which Muslims consider to be a holy day, according to the Islamic calendar.
The primary ceremony is held in Islamabad, where the national flag is raised at
the Parliament and Presidential buildings. This is followed by the national
song and live televised remarks by key figures. Flag-raising rituals, parades,
cultural events, and the playing of patriotic music are typical celebration
activities on this day. On this day, a variety of award ceremonies frequently
take place, and people frequently fly the flag atop their houses or proudly
display it on their clothes and vehicles.
Pakistanis enthusiastically observe
Independence Day. The flag of Pakistan's two primary colours are green and
white. There are national flags flying everywhere, and people enjoy watching
fireworks displays. Across the nation, flag-hoisting ceremonies are held in
both public and private settings. Declamation competitions, art exhibits,
national song recitals, and sporting marathons are organised by schools and
universities to celebrate. Additionally, there are special events planned to
mark this day.
The president and prime minister make
special remarks in which they honour the nation's founding fathers who gave
their lives in defence of the country. The district and local government
actively organise and carry out festivities to show patriotism and brighten the
day. Face painting, wearing the national colours, dressing extravagantly,
setting off fireworks, and celebrating everything Pakistani are all common
activities among the populace.
