Senior diplomats and envoys from Islamic nations travel to Xinjiang, China.

BEIJING: From August 1–4, a team of 32 envoys and senior diplomats from 30 Islamic countries to China visited the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, according to Hua Chunying, the spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. During her routine press conference at the International Press Center in Beijing, she said that the group met with Ma Xingrui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (IPC).

She stated that while in Kashgar, Aksu, and Urumqi, the delegation worked with local religious leaders and graduates from training and educational institutions and visited mosques, Islamic schools, museums, grassroots communities, technology enterprises, green development, and rural revitalization projects.

They exchanged information and came to understand the reality of Xinjiang's economic growth and success, religious freedom, ethnic harmony, and people living and working in peace and contentment. "Delegation members highlighted that the Chinese government upholds the people-centric approach and has achieved remarkable success in promoting the administration and development of Xinjiang," she continued.

The representative claimed that Muslims have their rights to freedom of religion and other freedoms secured, and that people of all ethnic groups coexist peacefully and happily here. The delegation's experiences in Xinjiang were very different from what was reported in some Western media.

According to Hua Chunying, Islamic nations have consistently taken a fair stance on Xinjiang-related issues. She continued, "Through this visit to Xinjiang, the Islamic nations have once again made an objective and fair voice, which fully showed once again that the rumours and lies fabricated by some nations could not cover up the truth." She also noted that the evil attempt to use Xinjiang-related issues to malign China is unpopular and will fail. To experience the splendour, harmony, and development of Xinjiang, she continued, "We sincerely welcome friends from all over the world to have the chance to visit Xinjiang in the future.
